Getting 42 faults, what's common that causes this fault?

Speed switch out of tolerance.

How do adjust it back? I watched the 90 percent switch go from low to high on my i/o and none of my motion averages were ? They all had values.

Determine if the fault is at the top or bottom and adjust the mi + at the top or mi- at the bottom. The NTS board has pots to adjust voltages on rail sws. Put car on inspect and stop at each sw. Look at voltage and adjust accordingly. Meter goes on gan and mi + or - .

Ive Changed the NTS board and set the voltages. +/- .8 +/- 4.3 +/-6.4 and +/-8.4 They are spot on.

But this fault seems to be caused by the ETS board. It isnt a fatal fault but I want to adjust it out.

Check your supply voltage
+VMP to GMP = 12 volts (-/+.5 volts)
-VMP to GMP = 12 volts (-/+.5 volts)

the 42 is generated when the cpu sees the 90% speed sw. on the ets bd. out of tolerance. this happens on acceleration. there are a number of small speed bds. plugged into the ets bd. there is a pot on top of each bd. basically you look at motion averages to see when the 90% relay picked and adjust the pot. If I remember correctly counter clockwise makes the board pick at a higher speed. so at 90% of contract you should pick the relay. Also the fault can be generated by a faulty position encoder, or encoder coupling.
