94 is the result 99% of the time of an improper reset. Turning the Line off and back on to clear a fatal.
You need to hit enter again to Verify this on the SMLCD with XTRA Info:XXXXXX then report back here.
What Company does your "friend" work for?

Check to make sure the relays drop properly for both the car and gate.

Change contacts for good measure. Then, In the smlcd history, see if by chance there is a 75 happening right before the 94. If a 75 exists, check the door closer tension at the floor as well.

Update... This unit is in a hotel and after going over everything 2 or 3 times my friend had a new cover for the gate switch built that would keep someone from reaching up and making the gate contacts with the doors open causing the fault!!!! Not one call since. You cant fix stupid but sometimes you can out fox em.

Damn! I've had people reach between the strikes and flip the pit stop switches but I've never heard of someone reaching up and hitting the gate switch. I'll bet the the software would fire a mismatch. Sometimes i've seen gate switches hang on the cover (while cleaning them and putting the cover back on when the car door is open) or the pivot pin gets bent or dirty. The roller is supposed to hit that cam while opening and knock it down to ensure drop out (as I'm sure you know). It probably has one of those clutches that can't split the doors but if not, is it possible someone is separating the doors and the SDoor contact is making up while the OL is triggered? You never know what you'll find in these hotels.....

We had some miprom 21s in a university dorm and the taller kids thought it was fun to hit the gate switch all the time along with punching out the emergancy light lenses. The university finally got smart and put in cameras in all the cars which cured the problem after alot of mommys and daddys recived some rather exspensive elevator bills beacause of their stupid kids.
