Getting a 166 fault followed by a 164 fault that shuts the elevator down . Happens intermittently . Changed ADON board and did an ADON learn . Any suggestions ?

166 is a is a re-leveling too fast fault.the code says k-486 relay dropped while leveling with the doors open. k-486 drops at speeds of .65m/sec and higher. you can check the speed at ui:5.20.9, it should be 65. 164 is a k486 failed to pick when the car is stopped fault.

All possibilities of a bad ADON board ?

If the problem is intermittent and you have replaced the ADON Board, I think you should check the Brakes. You should have 1/4 inch of thickness on the linings, and the Flat Washer under the center adjusting Nut should be movable by hand. Perhaps someone puts a heavy load on ounce in a while and you are slipping through the Brake. Putting a full load on would be a good way to see if you are holding with the Brakes. It is also possible you have gotten a bad ADON from Spares. A not unheard of scenario.
