The motor might have a faulty encoder. In this case you will need to replace the motor.

Kone service tool help
RyeGuy
02/16/26 01:59 AM
I've never seen or used a Kone service tool before, and we recently purchased the service tool laptop from Kone. The only software is Miprom1 and Miprom21 but this job is a KCM831... (Neither of which would connect) What would be the correct application for this controller?

I disagree, never installed an Alpha so won’t comment there. But in Illinois there are a few I’ve seen/services and they’re fucking buggy. If I recall correctly, they were installed by Anderson.
My buddy at a larger company in Chicago also tells me their boards suck. 50% fail out the box or so, he could be exaggerating. We do mostly Pixel, a few Smartrise, I was able to navigate Alphas menu pretty easy, same exact Crap.

The elevator thinks it is on cartop inspection, or MR inspection. Could be a wiring mistake. You may want to meter the inspection circuit with the wiring diagram.

This elevator locks out on the first floor of a basement first floor second floor setup. It's not contacts-checked all of that. I noticed the 32va transformer appears to be intermittent. What else could it be? I'm stumped. We have 110/220 everywhere so problem appears to be 24 volt related. Anyone else have experience with this?

Are you using new software along with the new CLC? If I understood your explanation correctly, the second stop (floor 1) is a short distance from the first stop (G floor). The CLC software should have the "SP" label to perform that type of operation.

Re: How to get fully loaded elevator service laptop

i have a dell d630 laptop with a good amount of software on it. If you purchase a dell latitude d630 off of ebay, i can clone my drive and send it out to you, you will still need the keys for the IMS software and the Cadi software, but there are a few folks on this forum that can help out with that. pm me if thats something your interested in. Would hate to see anyone pay 2k+ for an elevator service tool laptop.

Looking for KONE INVMON software for V3F20 inverte
david1988
02/02/26 01:31 PM
Hi everyone,
I'm working on a KONE elevator with a V3F20 inverter and I need the INVMON (or INVMON6) software to connect and adjust parameters.
I already have the RS232-USB cable and null-modem adapter ready, just missing the software.
I've searched everywhere but can't find it for download - it seems to be proprietary KONE software.
Does anyone have a copy they could share? Or know where I can get it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Need help with Otis bluetool/cocotool
epic_ecodisc
01/25/26 06:00 PM
Could anyone help me with getting cocotool, or providing info about the pins that need to be switched for bluetool and what it sends/receives over serial? I want to build a bluetooth version that's compact so I don't have to carry around the giant huge gadget, or atleast emulate it on my laptop instead.
Thanks!

Re: UPS Battery Backup

Most of our hydraulic controllers have R&R RB2 units, theyre 500 watts. We also have a few with the Dynavect LR750, which is 750-watt and a newer and fancier design. Both of them work good and we haven’t had any issues. Some companies use commercial computer UPS, but we prefer not to use them as they are not designed for elevators and sometimes fail operating heavy doors.
