Has anyone seen a standard Tac32H (non-MRL) throw these faults? It doesn’t shut down and uca cmd says it’s in sleep

I did find the answer but haven’t been able to execute it. Unfortunately it’s fairly involved and I haven’t been able to get the local Otis office to engage with the customer to start the process.

Hi all, these composites strike again. Im having an issue with a 17 stop car where floor 10 through 17 won't take a down call to floor 7 or lower. You have to run the car to 8 or 9 and then place a down call to the lower landings. The lower landings will run to any floor. Ive been through the selector contacts but haven't found anything unusual. Im.suspecting a group issue but unfortunately dont have the group prints available. Any insight or direction to start would be invaluable.

The wrinkle: the SL is 30 years old, KONE marked it obsolete 16 years ago (8/13/10), and it's going dark piecemeal. The car card is already flagged "OBSOLETE – NO LONGER AVAILABLE," and the rest is sell-till-gone. "Available today" and "available when needed" are different things on this vintage. These are for a non-profit, so paying KONE spares prices for shelf stock isn’t realistic.

The way I see it, most SLs are already modernized, and every mod creates a suite of rebuildable boards with nowhere to go - pulls off the machine plus NOS spares bought and never touched. That's the supply that keeps the last few units running after the parts counter empties. Every mod also shrinks the number of machines that will ever need these boards which means this stock is worth something today, less as more SLs disappear. Rather than let it drift to the scrap bin, I'm buying: pulls or NOS. If I gather enough, I don't mind being the guy to call when KONE's bins finally empty.

To see if you have a Generator problem, put a balanced load in the car, and tach the speed up, and down. The speed should be close to the same. If you are fast in the up by a lot you are under compounded.

Valid point you have. I'm just trying to get some sort of print for making troubleshooting easier instead of using physical wire tracing

Hey all, just curious if anyone has a KCM hydro manual, i have most manuals, except this one. I have the testing manual for them, and installation manual. Wondering if there was an adjusting manual on them. Thanks for any help

I'm no fan of harmonic door operators. I don't know why anyone in their right mind would install one on a completely new job. I can understand the constraints on mods though. The european linear ones with the cabin door lock are my favorite. No gate switch that pranksters and enthusiast can tinker with.

The instructions are about useless. If you've already done it don't bother looking at the instructions, they're not very good. I've seen them before and the diagrams were all faded and the information is pretty general and basic. If you've already found all the Allen screws and managed to make it through once you've succeeded

Received the belts and yes that are marked, went super smooth

I also need a manual for the 219ht machine. Brakes and Bearings specifically but any repair and/or maintenance information is helpful

I’ll start off by saying ive never seen a 4 car group of hydro’s 🤣.

With that out of the way, id check to make sure each car has the correct RCB-No in OCSS. Then check your SOM circuitry / relays, fuses.

TAC20 is closer to DMC whereas TAC32 is closer to Swift Futura. If you never heard of Futura, if you ever run into a Dover elevator that says "Miami Elevator" on the COP panel instead of "Dover". It will most likely have a Swift on it. This isn't always the case though.
