I've never been fond of smartrise controllers, never backed them. But now I hear they might be shutting down? I knew they tried to sell out to the big shots a few times, but I didn't know it was coming to this. A buddy sent me these links showing they've been marked "Forfeited Existence" by the secretary of state. Started off making those nonproprietary controllers, worked at it for a good decade, and now they're just vanishing, leaving their customers high and dry with no support. https://opencorporates.com/companies/us_tx/0802981553https://www.bizapedia.com/tx/smartrise-engineering-inc.htmlAny ideas?

As bad as it may sound. I'd rather deal with those US ASC-2000 controllers w/trip counter. They are a dream performance wise than Smartrise ever was. I hope they are shutting down.

Hey everyone,
Looks like Smartrise is indeed closing down. Companies often get flagged as "Forfeited Existence" when they don't pay taxes. Honestly, I saw this coming, especially after they started selling those crappy C4 controllers years ago. We switched away from them a while back, so I'm relieved we did.
For those affected, exploring alternatives MCE, EC Pixel or Alpha controllers might be a good move. They've been solid for us performance-wise.
Best,

Guys, let's reserve the "Technical Questions" section exclusively for technical questions. I believe the "DID YOU KNOW?" section of the forum would be a more suitable place for this type of information, rather than here.

Before this discussion gets moved to another section, I just want to point out that the originally-posted link was to just one instance of Smartrise Engineering. There are two others, one of which is in Florida and inactive and the other is registered in California and active. From https://opencorporates.com/companiesPut in the name Smartrise Engineering in the Search box at the top of the page, and you can see this for yourself Here’s the direct link to the California one https://opencorporates.com/companies/us_ca/2724853

Smartrise is not going out of business or facing any forfeitures, etc... The website has made an error which they stated will be corrected/updated sometime this year. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions.

As TheElevatorGuy has pointed out, there are 3 instances of Smartrise Engineering. The Florida and Texas corporations show as inactive, as they should be. The California listing has been updated by the website and the status cleared up.
My team and I are happy to assist with any Smartrise questions or issues. I've sent DM's to most anyone that has expressed an issue. I'm a call away if you need anything.
