300 A hydraulic submersible pump continuously heating oil disconnect thermostat got the car to stop heating oil 3 weeks later return oil overheating found motor leads falling apart in tank bare wires could this be what's continuing to heat the oil? Tia

Cold oil input could be stuck high even with the field wire removed.
