Hey everyone,
Curious if anyone’s run into this before…
We’ve got a few traction elevators with battery backup systems for manual rescue, but none of them can seem to release the rope gripper when running on battery. As soon as the controller powers up on backup, the rope gripper stays locked, and someone has to manually open it before the rescue can even start.
Some of these setups use compact RB2 units inside the controller cabinet, and others are just commercial UPS units mounted outside, but both have the same issue.
Has anyone found a good workaround or setup that actually powers the rope gripper during battery rescue?
Would love to hear how others are handling this!
